Esmeralda “Esie” Paquette || 21 || Third Year Student at Walter University || Telepathy || FC: Vanessa Hudgens
Esmeralda isn’t from Ireland at all, rather she is a French student in her third-year who is currently studying abroad at Walter University. A hardworking girl from a poorer family, Esie has been working near her whole life to help with earning enough money for the family to get by. Now that times are slightly better, and Esie has gotten a very good scholarship to uni, she is now taking the chance to explore the world, hence her coming to Ireland. She is very independent and full of street smarts, as well as opinions about justice. However, after ‘The Event’ she started to worry about her independence, as she found she was telepathic and could pick up on the thoughts of others. She is doing her best to learn to control her new ability, though she is nervous about who to trust about her new secret as she still new to the country and doesn’t have too many friends yet.
Gothel Kelly || 48 || Owns Mother’s Flowers shop || Plant Manipulation || FC: Courteney Cox
The adopted mother (though she gets called “Aunt”), of Connelly and also the owner of Mother’s Flowers, she is known for being a bit forceful. She always wants her way no matter what the consequences are. After Connelly’s parents died she immediately took the girl in, having always wanted children of her own. Gothel has never been married but she a big flirt, always schmoozing up the gentleman around town. Ever since she was a little girl she has been around plants, starting her first garden when she was five. She decided to become a horticulturist when she went to university, following her childhood dreams. Gothel has one of the most beautiful gardens in town and has won several awards for it. She likes to combine odd statues and things she has found at antique stores into her garden and has grown quite fond of going to Jade’s antique store. Gaining the ability to manipulate plant life after ‘The Event’ has made her gardens even prettier. But has also made her a dangerous enemy to those that cross her.
Yzma Chaton || 38 || Performer at Disney Theatre || Feline Physiology || FC: Sofia Vergara
Yzma is what you might call self absorbed and she’s proud of that. Once a famous actress on broadway and a star in hollywood, her fame has since gone down the drain. After an unfortunate movie choice and nasty divorce she moved away to avoid all the stress. But being in Disney probably hasn’t been good for her health either. Kuzco, the owner of The Disney Theatre, has made it especially hard for her to get any lead roles in any of the shows. A complete diva, Yzma is always fighting with Kuzco on every little detail. She has gained one follower since moving to Disney, Kronk. He has seen everyone of her movies and absolutely loves her acting, Yzma just uses him as a henchman to help her get what she wants. With her new ability to change into a small violet cat, her life is even more down the drain. Kronk finds it hilarious when she does it, but Yzma just finds it annoying. She hopes to find some useful way to use her power, but hasn’t yet.
Lumiere Tussauds || 32 || Music Professor at Walter University || Fire Mimicry || FC: John Krasinski
One of the flirtiest men around town he is proud of his ladies-man reputation. Though this often gets him in trouble with his on-again, off-again girlfriend Felecia. Though truthfully he just likes to make her jealous and really has only ever liked her. The music teacher at Walter University, most of his students are girls for unknown reasons. His best friend and enemy is Timothy Cogsworth. They are complete opposites but get along every now and then, when they aren’t in another one of their spats. Soon after “The Event” Lumiere gained the ability to turn his body into fire, without causing harm to himself. This ability has proved to be more of a hindrance than a help and he is often accidentally burning up his furniture. Not to mention that several times his neighbours have called the fire department on him after smelling smoke. Plus, the reason for Felecia and his last break up was that he accidentally burned up her favorite dress. Felicia is the only one who knows about Lumiere’s powers and he is trying to keep it that way.
Leon Gruamach || 26 || Dig Worker || Civilian || FC: Paul Wesley
A worker on the Fairy Fort dig site, Leon has since been doing odd jobs around town while he waits for the dig to start up again. Who knows when that is going to be. Known for being a bit grumpy and angry he is always trying new jobs because very few people can deal with him. If you do have him as a friend though, he will be loyal till the end. He is always ready to protect those he holds dear. Both his parents died when he was very young so he moved around between a lot of foster families, which is part of the reason why he is so angry with the world. He got the job as a worker by pure chance. At first he didn’t want to take the job because he is a very superstitious person, but after some convincing from his friend Doc he took the job because he needed the money. Now he is sure that the whole town is cursed because of the digging at the fairy fort. He doesn’t know what exactly is happening to its residents but he does know something is very different now.
Doctor Don Finkelstein || 50 || Chemistry teacher at Disney High School || Innate Capability || FC: Hugh Laurie
The Finkelsteins are a bit odd, Dr. Finkelstein more so than his daughter Sally, but still. The pair live in an observatory not too far out of town, which some people say is haunted, though that’s completely untrue and it’s really just Don’s inventions and experiments gone a bit bonkers sometimes. The students he teachers at school call him a mad scientist, but he doesn’t see anything mad about any of his projects. He doesn’t desire much, just to see his inventions succeed and to keep his daughter protected all the time. Preferably by never letting her leave the house, or rather, the observatory. Doctor Finkelstein has been noticing a lot of odd things happening since “The Event” and has been trying many new experiments out in order to figure out what has happened.
Abu Jacobs || 18 || Senior at Disney High School || Empathy || FC: Jake T Austin
Abu is an energetic, opinionated boy with a bit of a sneaky side, though he is very loyal and has a good heart. Currently he lives over the Import Goods & Carpet Shop with his older brother Ali. Abu never knew his mother, and the boys’ father died when Abu was just 9, so he hardly remembers him either. His whole world is wrapped up in his brother, who raised him, and he hopes he can always be there for him. However, this desire to always be there for his brother makes him very temperamental when Ali brings home people, as Abu has a fear of being replaced by someone ‘better’ than him. He knows it’ll never really happen, but he can’t help but worry about it. This sense of worry was only intensified after ‘The Event’ - Abu had become a empath. Abu was now privy to all of his brothers secret emotions and feelings, as well as everyone else’s. Which is why he has started to fill up their flat with animals, it’s partly because he hates seeing them be sad and alone, but it’s also an attempt to drown out his brother’s emotions with those of all of the animals.
